Baby & Toddler Wool/Silk Balaclava

Double-layered balaclava made from fine wool and silk jersey, breathable, soft, gently protective fits snugly without shifting. Perfect for the changing seasons when the air turns cooler or a light breeze sets in.

It wraps softly around the head, ears, and neck, keeping your baby and toddler warm without overheating and snugly comfortable all around.

70% organic kbT. Merino wool and 30% Silk. Untreated and free from harmful substances such as chlorine. Produced under fair working conditions in Southern Germany, one of the last remaining production sites in the Country.

Wool loves gentle care:
Always wash on a wool cycle at max. 600 rpm (higher spin speeds can cause the wool fibres to rub against each other, leading to felting or distortion). At 30 °C. Use a mild wool detergent. Reshape while damp and dry flat – this keeps it soft and in perfect shape

Pilling
Over time, fine pilling may appear due to friction – a natural characteristic of high-quality wool fibers. The small knots can easily be removed by hand or with a soft wool or wool comb after washing.

The 70% wool in our wool–silk blend is fully organic k.b.A., from the sheep to the finished garment. This ensures the highest ecological and social standards throughout every step of the production process. The silk content in this fine yarn count cannot yet be certified organic, as there is currently no established process that allows for it without destroying the sensitive fiber.

Babies can’t yet regulate their body temperature on their own, wool does it naturally for them.
The fine fibres respond to movement and changing temperatures, keeping your baby comfortably balanced: warm when it’s cool, breathable when it’s warm.

Our organic wool–silk blend is untreated and completely free from harmful substances or irritating chemicals. Unlike conventional wool, ours is never chlorine-treated but gently processed to the highest ecological standards that we have as a brand (read more in our Quality description), a craft our producer has practiced for generations. Kind to delicate skin and supportive for everyday wear and frequent environment changes from outdoor to indoors and vice versa.
