At WOOL&WELL, we work exclusively with kbT-certified (kontrolliert biologische Tierhaltung), untreated and mulesing-free Merino wool, a pure, natural fiber with exceptional qualities for babies. Because it is never chlorinated or coated with synthetic treatments, the wool keeps all of its original softness, breathability and ability to regulate temperature.

For our undergarments, we blend this beautiful wool with a touch of natural silk, creating fabrics that feel soothing and gentle against even the most delicate newborn skin. The wool fibres themselves come from certified ecological farms and every thread is knitted and crafted in small batches in the south of Germany.

Your baby’s garments begin in a small, family-run workshop in southern Germany, one of the few places left where knitting and sewing still happen under the same roof. Here, skilled hands prepare the knitting machines to produce the fabric, cut each piece and stitch it together with patience and pride.

Producing in such small batches means every item carries a sense of place, care and heritage, something I’m deeply proud to share with you.

There’s also something special about bringing German craftsmanship back into German homes. Creating these pieces with people who share my language and culture makes the whole process feel effortless and genuinely joyful.
